“Αν δεν σας αρέσει το μπάσο, προτείνω να κοιτάξετε αλλού”. Μια διασκεδαστική γνωριμία με τα Crusher Wireless.
If you don’t like ‘bass’, we suggest you go look for other headphones. Because that is what Skullcandy’s latest Crusher Wireless does — it actually shakes you up. We meant it in the sense that the bass was inexplicable and sounded akin to the heavy bass you hear in clubs and subwoofers.
Let’s just say that if Batman needed headphones, this would be the one he would choose.Dressed entirely in matte black and gloss finish for the three buttons on the right side, and the bass controller on the left. We found the design as no-frills and appealing because it is a ‘no-nonsense’ earpiece and not that ‘we-are-the-best-because-we-are-expensive’ ones.
That is all about the design. There is also a second variant which has an off-white and tan colour tone and tan colour earpads — but we would suggest the black ones.
Build quality is more than what meets the eye — it’s pretty sturdy and comes along with a nice carry bag too. There are control buttons on the right side which can be used to play/pause, increase/decrease volume, skip songs, answering and ending calls. These are good to use.
The bass controller is on the left side controls the amount of bass you are playin with the songs. There is no aspect like an indicator so you will just have to decode the amount of bass which you’ll need.
The USP of these headphones is obviously the bass controller with their haptic feedback. Skullcandy has stated that it has the bass that you can feel and we did feel it when we put it on the first time.
Sound is clear and the memory foam in the earpads does not break your ears. But not all the times it feels good to wear it around. Sometimes the song is nothing but bass which means we had to reduce the bass controller. We found the ideal point for the bass slider to be on is the halfway mark. But we can bet once you get your hands on one of these, you are bound to put the slider all the way up and feel the ear sides reverberate in your ears. It is similar to strapping on a sub-woofer. But then, who likes strapping on a sub-woofer?
Because we liked the bass, we found the headphones to be a perfect fit for playing games and watching movies than listening to music on a daily basis.
The battery life is strong for the Crusher Wireless and we got close to 40 hours of usage before we finally had to charge them.
The Skullcandy are not expensive when we compare them to Marshall or Dr. Dre Beats audio headphones or Bose. We loved every moment of using it. Comfortable and soft, this headphone sat nicely on our heads while doling out clear bass-y music. This is definitely a yes for those looking to buy good Bluetooth headphones at a cheaper price than all the major rivals out there.
